Radar Mag Exposes Juicy Campus…Just a Little Late
Posted by thelanetrain on July 8, 2008
Hey you crazy college kids and pop culture junkies! Don’t forget to check out this month’s Radar Magazine where they’ll be doing a thrilling exposé on Juicy Campus. What’s Juicy Campus? Omigod, it’s this completely unfiltered, uncensored college gossip site that’s totally turned campuses all across the nation completely upside down by giving students free license to say whatever they want about anyone else and has given rise to calling people cokeheads, sluts, fags, and whores!
This would have been big news if Radar broke this story a few months ago, when Juicy Campus was in its heyday. That’s when many press outlets, like CNN, The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Washington Post, and even 20/20 were already telling mainstream America about the dangers of unmonitored sites like this. Lawsuits were filed, identities were exposed, and lives were ruined. I’m not sure if Radar is trying to bring back a dead horse that’s been beaten so many times, or if it’s just late in putting out it’s obligatory Juicy Campus article. Anyway, the site’s no longer fashionable.
And besides, a quick visit to Juicy Campus shows that you now need to be 18 or older to enter. Even though the hateful topics are still up and running, it’s pretty much past its prime. Nobody’s hatin’ anymore. I think.
